Why I Stand For The Flag

Why I Stand For The Flag

While so many NFL players and entertainers did not stand for the flag this weekend I was welcoming home my son from his second deployment. While those people who make literally millions of dollars just to entertain us, my son, risked everything to protect their rights while barely making enough to support him and his wife. [Read more…]

The Tennessee Aquarium ~ Our Quest

The Tennessee Aquarium ~ Our Quest

You know us and how much we love road trips! Well, our daughter Cindy brought our grandbabies for a visit so we decided to take them to the Tennessee Aquarium. We have been wanting to go and what better time than when you have little ones to share it with. This is amazing to me as my daughter is 300 miles away and my son is deployed and in Germany right now!  [Read more…]

When Your Little Birdies Fly

When Your Little Birdies Fly

I took some time to look at pictures of my little birdies this morning. When they first left I couldn’t do that without feeling sad. Now I am filled with feelings of accomplishment and pride. I am so amazed that Phillip and I molded these two children into the wonderful young adults that they have become. Of course, there were bumps in the road but by the grace of God, we all made it through them and just look at my babies now! [Read more…]

My Little Birdies A Quick Introduction

My Little Birdies A Quick Introduction

I am sure as time goes on you will get to know my little birdies and their families very well. They are always on my mind so you will see me write quite a bit about them. It amazes me that I raised these two responsible, loving children. Yes, I still call them children. My daughter loves that I still call her baby girl but my bad ass Marine son isn’t so keen on being called baby boy! [Read more…]
